Rockfon is seeking a Ceiling Installation Specialist/Trainer, based in our Chicago facility, as part of our Rockfon Product Management team. This role is hybrid, working in the office Monday through Thursday, and work from home available on Fridays. This position will report to the Sr. Product Manager and requires travel of up to 50%, with occasional international travel.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Initiate and manage projects that highlight the technical aspects of our products via website tools, marketing collateral, installation guides, etc.

  • Identify knowledge gaps and develop training curriculum to fill those gaps

  • Be the knowledge expert and technical resource to internal employees and external customers on Rockfon's stone wool ceiling tiles, metal ceilings, Mono Acoustic, and suspension grid

  • Own the LMS, developing training curriculums and pathways for internal employees and external customers

  • Develop and monitor product datasheets, install guides and technical documentation

  • Provide product and installation training to internal and external teams

  • Support the development and review of technical files, such as CAD and BIM, related to the product lines

  • Monitor and respond to technical questions on ceiling installation and recommended product usage through Technical Services email or the Technical Services hotline

  • Ability to develop good working relationships with Marketing, Sales and support teams, architects, distributors and contractors

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time across North America and Europe

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5-8 years of commercial construction experience installing gypsum wallboard and/or seamless acoustical ceiling including estimating, installing, joint finishing and spray painting

  • Experience within the Ceilings industry

  • Understand ceiling industry testing, codes and standards, taking a hands-on approach to product training

  • Strong training skills to support marketing initiatives and proper installation practices

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the commercial construction arena - including reading architectural drawings, bids, project schedules, change order processes and budgeting

  • Familiarity with construction software programs such as CAD and BIM

  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and CRM
