Responsibilities

What you'll be challenged to do:

TranSystems has a tremendous growth opportunity for an Assistant Project Administrator in Orlando. The individual will assist the Project Administrator in managing the administrative and financial aspects of the project. Helps maintain liaison with client team and stakeholders to ensure scheduling and profit objectives are met. The individual will be afforded significant training and development opportunities and contribute extensively to a hospitality, industrial, or education project.

General responsibilities included:

  • Support: Assist the Project Administrator in building and maintaining liaison with owner, design professionals, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate construction activities with the objective to exceed client satisfaction and ensure project profitability.

  • Financial Control: Help manage the financial aspects of contracts and protect the company's best interests by updating in-place quantities and compiling financial status reports.

  • Change Order Management: Assist Project Administrator in managing the change order process including tracking, investigating, and settling all change order requests and ensuring relevant information is disseminated appropriately.

  • Pay Applications: Assist Project Administrator in preparing owner pay applications and processing of contractor and material invoices.

  • Project Meetings: Represent company in project meetings, assist in negotiation/strategy meetings, etc. Produce meeting minutes as directed by the Project Administrator or Senior Project Engineer.

  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:

  • High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency.

  • For personnel with Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management degrees: One (1) year of engineering experience in relevant transportation projects.

  • For personnel without Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management degrees: Six (6) years of responsible and related engineering experience / Two (2) of those years involved in construction of relevant transportation projects

  • FDOT Advanced MOT

  • May obtain with six (6) months after Project NTP if holding a current FDOT Intermediate MOT certificate

  • CTQP Final Estimates Level II

Work Environment:

  • The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, construction and field assignments can be severe (i.e. Airport noise, inside factories, construction equipment, jack hammers, etc).

  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk or hear, and drive a car. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
