Chrysalis is a company that provides a variety of support services for people with intellectual disabilities. This position focuses on providing applied behavior analysis services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. This position requires the ability to prioritize work and complete assigned program documentation accurately and within the allotted time frames. Furthermore, this position requires the ability to have good interpersonal skills in working with a variety of children, adolescents, and families. RBTs will also be responsible for conducting specific skill acquisition programs and behavior reduction programs as written by the BCBA.
The RBT is appointed by and derives his/her authority from the people Chrysalis supports, the Lead RBT, Area Behavior Analysts, the Clinical Director, and the Area Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular, timely and consistent attendance
Attend staff meetings
Implement instructional programs, teach adaptive living skills, and implement behavior interventions as directed by the Behavior Analyst.
Collects data and maintains communication with the Behavior Analyst regarding the child's needs.
Complete session notes within one week of each session.
Complete other assignments as given by the Lead RBT and/or Behavior Analyst (e.g., creating materials).
Adhere to the Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for RBTs as outlined by the BACB.
Follow state policies and procedures.
Serve as an official representative of Chrysalis and market a positive image.
Ensure training (RBT, SOAR, CPR, First Aid, OSHA) is completed within established time frames.
Minimum of least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED
Pass a criminal background check
Pass a drug test
Possess the ability to speak, read and write effectively in English
Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and valid vehicle insurance
Complete the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training and obtain the RBT credential from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board within 90 days of hire.
Experience or Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent Have good public relations skills in working with a variety of children, adolescents, and their families
Be able to follow strict protocols as written by the BCBA
Training and Certifications
Obtain RBT Certificate within 90 days of employment
Maintain Registered Behavior Technician Certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
Complete SOAR training
Complete CPR, First Aid, and OSHA training
Complete T.B. test
