Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with valid California Teaching CTE Credential authorizing service in assigned grade and subject area is required. English Learner Authorization is required. Desirable Qualifications: Teaching experience at grade level or subject area; Master's Degree and/or post graduate course work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter (Engineering Design, CNC Machining, Welding and Digital Electronics); center instruction on high expectations for student achievement and demonstrate effective teaching practices
Plan, organize, and teach a competency-based CTE program in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering courses
Manage and advise Co-Curricular Activities and incorporate leadership activities into the curriculum
Demonstrate effective classroom and computer lab management
Develop community and industry partnerships for students
Provide information and counsel students relative to employment, career opportunities and further education
Participate in district, regional and state CTE meetings, including Rocklin Unified School District CTE Advisory meetings, and Sierra College regional meetings
Work directly with other Rocklin High School CTE programs (Computer Science, Business, Video Production, etc.) in marketing and developing products that support the entire school community. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Skilled in CAD, CAM, CNC Programming, Haas CNC Operations, CNC and Manual Machining, Welding (including Robotic Welding and CNC Plasma Cutting), Digital Electronics and Rapid Prototyping To apply, applicants must complete an online application through Ed-join (www.edjoin.org) by the deadline date.
