CDL Water Truck Driver

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated CDL Water Truck Driver to join our team. As a CDL Water Truck Driver at Achen-Gardner Construction, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient transportation of materials and equipment to and from job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operational order and report all maintenance or repair issues to maintenance personnel promptly

• Maintain equipment in proper operating condition and notify appropriate department of equipment service needs

• Move material as necessary in the performance of the job or as directed

• Maintain operator logs, mileage sheets, vehicle repair sheets, and records in accordance with company policy and departmental transportation regulations

• Perform general labor and other construction related duties as required

• Attend trainings and safety meetings

• Observe construction sites for obstacles that may compromise job safety and/or production

• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service

• Store and clean machinery at its designated location and note any deficiencies

• Must comply with all laws dictated by ADOT / FMCSA

• Maintain roadways, aggregate plant area, and material with adequate amount of water to maintain dust control (Water Truck Driver)

• Knowledge with compaction standards/moisture levels and general jobsite safety (Water Truck Driver)

• Efficiently and safely operate both commercial and non-commercial vehicles and obey applicable laws at all times

• Willingness to operate any equipment as needed and perform hands on work as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker endorsements (Class A)

• Clean driving record with no recent accidents or violations.

• Minimum 3 year of experience as a CDL Driver, preferably in the construction industry.

• Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.

• Ability to operate and maneuver large commercial vehicles in various weather and road conditions.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions and instructions.

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
