ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Participate in CDL training. Operate a variety of motorized equipment. Operate a variety of standard power tools and equipment used for grounds and building maintenance and repair.

Operate small equipment, such as a skid loader and forklift. Perform manual labor. Drive large trucks, snow plows, and small- to medium-sized equipment.

ANCILLARY FUNCTIONS:

Perform custodial tasks in the general housekeeping of the facility, including sweeping and, cleaning floors. Maintain appearance of facility grounds by clearing debris and sweeping curbs/walkways.

Maintain work unit files and records. Perform other related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Ability to learn safety standards and precautions pertaining to the use and operation of motorized equipment and hand and power tools. Ability to learn how to operate motorized equipment, skid loaders, lift trucks, and hand/power tools in a safe and effective manner.

Ability to use various hand tools, including hammer, shovel, spade, saw, grinder, sander, grease gun, and wrench. Ability to use a computer. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.

Safe driving skills and ability to learn how to operate a single or tandem dump trucks. Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to work cooperatively with other employees.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Regularly required to talk and listen. Must be able to feel attributes of objects, grasp, push, stand, walk, drive, reach with hands/arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb/balance, operate mechanical equipment, and move up and down from/to sitting position on the floor.

Must be able to have repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement. Must have clarity of vision, three-dimensional vision, precise hand-eye coordination, and ability to identify and distinguish colors. Must be able to lift 100 or more pounds.

Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Ability to successfully complete CDL training and obtain CDL license within 6 months of hire. Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification. Supervision Exercised None.
