The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years we have expanded to 36 branch locations, covering 8 states in the Midwest.

Job Summary

The CDL Group Leader will oversee and lead a group of CDL Drivers in their day-to-day activities to ensure timely, safe, and efficient operations.

Hours and Wages

• Exempt, salary position, $60k-$70k a year based on experience

• Monday-Friday, 7:00AM start time

• Ability to cover 2nd and 3rd shift as needed

Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete routes for employees who are absent

• Prepare, manage, and track daily department reports

• Monitor route work to ensure it is being performed properly and freight is disbursed appropriately

• Enforce safety, DOT, and company policies

• Recommend and implement measures to improve productivity, equipment performance, work methods, and customer service

• Evaluate and complete probationary and annual employee performance reviews

• Assist CDL Manager and other management to resolve employee issues and discipline

• Participate in weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments

• Hire, train, discipline, and onboard new staff

• Frequent travel is required

• Perform other required duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1+ year of experience in the transportation industry and leadership preferred

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
