Living Earth is seeking full-time CDL Truck Drivers for our greater Houston market, based in New Caney.

Positions are for local deliveries in the greater Houston area. No overnight hauls, no hand loading/unloading. Daytime hours: Monday-Friday, typically from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with Saturday deliveries depending on need.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • CDL A & Tandem Axle Dump Trucks, Semi Tractor-Trailer (Live Bottom, End-Dump) for local deliveries.

Requirements

  • 90 day probationary period
  • Minimum 21 years of age with 2 years commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Pass E-verify, pre-employment background, and drug and alcohol testing.
  • Minimum a high school education.
  • Successful candidate should have a great disposition for positive customer interaction and a good driving record.

VIEW JOBS 8/30/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-11-28T00:00 CDL Driver Job Description Overview Drive to and from project sites around the Greater Houston Area to include Baytown, Dayton and New Caney, TX. Vehicles include boom trucks, tractor trailers, and similar motor vehicles. Job Duties * Drive equipment to and from heavy highway and bridge construction projects. A CDL is required to operate these vehicles * Perform construction work and related activities at the project sites while not operating vehicles. Drive there, work, and drive back * Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines * Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials * Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, equipment, workers, and falling objects * Perform maintenance procedures on equipment such as oiling, greasing, and other service to the machine * Troubleshoot and make adjustments to equipment * Other unlisted duties will be assigned Requirements * Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement is required * High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required * Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications * Move throughout a construction job site which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds * Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature. * Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials. * Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind * Ability to work night shifts is strongly preferred.
