OverviewDrive for Dexter and be home every weekend!Dexter, a premier manufacturer and distributor of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts and accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets, has an opportunity for a CDL Driver at our distribution facility located in Round Lake, NY.For more information about our company, access Dexter's web site at www.dexteraxle.com.Position SummaryJoin an industry leader and make a difference in what we do for the customers we serve!HIGHLIGHTS / FEATURES:* BE HOME EVERY WEEKEND!* Haul 95% no-touch freight * Dedicated weekly routes Monday- Friday schedule.PAY AND BONUS:* Sign-On Bonus * Average pay: $65,000-$75,000 per year * Paid time off - with 9 paid holidays annually * Health and retirement benefitsJOB DETAILS:* Flatbed experience preferred * Deliver trailer and trailer products while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states to customers timely. * Must be willing and able to tarp loads as needed. * Record amount and type of cargo being delivered. * Drive flatbed truck long distances. * Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road. * Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion. * Follow all applicable traffic laws. * Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find. * Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs. * Keep a log of activities. * Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel. * Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving. * Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a background check and drug screen.DEXTER BENEFITS:*
