Seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our team!

Schedule: Early morning start, 10-12 hour shifts, consistent schedule, lots of overtime available!

Summary:

The Field Service Technician, (FST) is a company driver responsible for delivering exceptional service while servicing grease traps and used cooking oil bins from restaurants, industrial plants, shopping centers, and convenience stores. During the execution of services, our FST's are responsible for complying with all DOT, state regulations, and company safety and compliance policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1 year commercial or military driving experience (Required)

  • Valid CDL Class A License (Preferred)

  • Vacuum truck experience is a plus

  • Tanker Endorsement before day one (1) of employment (Required)

  • Medically qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle

  • Ability to lift 55 lbs or more

  • A maximum of two (2) moving violations within the past three (3) years

  • A maximum of one (1) DOT recordable accident within past last three (3) years

  • Authorized to work in the United States

  • MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER!

Load inventory on truck and unload at customer site using a Moffett - truck mounted forklift. In addition to the description above, this role will be responsible for: * Performs routine inspection of vehicle and supplies to ensure road safety. * Plans route to and from customers' businesses and adjusts for traffic and/or construction. * Ensures that manifests are complete and accurate. * Delivers merchandise to customer and contacts customer if they are not present. * Loads truck with daily merchandise to be delivered as well as unload merchandise for customer. * Pulls orders to match manifest. * Prepares and maintains records in accordance with company policies and procedures. * Provides assistance to resolve customer issues. * Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. * Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers. * Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments; and * Follow all company safety policies and procedures. What it will take to be successful in this role (Qualifications) * Class A CDL License - Operate vehicle with GVW over 26,000 pounds not in combination, or transport hazardous materials that require placarding. * Stable work history. We're looking for good people who want to stick around for a while and be part of our Anixter family. * Must have determination, sense of urgency, strong customer focus, willingness to work hard. * Proper licensing relative to equipment. * Forklift certification. * HazMat certification may be required. * Although preferred, experience using a Moffett is not required. Our customers and your coworkers depend on you to be at work each and every day. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Ability to lift, bend, reach, push, pull, squat and walk throughout a shift. * Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, generally an entire shift (8+ hours per day). * Demonstrated and prior experience operating forklifts and/or other powered industrial equipment. * Demonstrated math, counting, reading and writing skills.
