CDL A Yard Spotter - Part-Time Nights

Description

We are looking for a part-time Spotter Monday through Friday evenings from 6:00pm to 11:00pm, approximately 25 hours per week. Some additional hours could occasionally be needed. Starting pay range of $23.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Job responsibilities will include;

• Spot trailers to and from the yard to the dock

• Stage and relocate trailers in a safe and organized manner

• Move trailers to/from Maintenance for repairs

• Move transfer trailers from upper to lower dock

• Maintain constant communication with night operations and dock personnel

• Perform yard checks

• Follow all safety procedures, including chocking/unchocking wheels on all trailers

• Complies with all safety, attendance and operations procedures

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug, physical and criminal background screen

• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver´s License with minimum 2 years experience.

• Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors

• Be able to handle lots of walking, sit, stand, kneel, bending. Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance.

• Must be able to get in and out of trucks several times per day.

• Experience with yard-jockey/spotter truck preferred.
