Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Using a positive, friendly attitude, our drivers build relationships with each customer and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

Most CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers have daily routes and are home nightly

Requirements:

21+ years of age

License to drive - valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record

Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Touch freight may need to lift, push or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds

Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Winning attitude and approachable personality

Flexibility overtime as required, occasional weekends and holiday

(DTI) Reports To: Assistant Transportation Manager Your Role: A Regional Company Delivery Driver at DTI primarily delivers product to Dot Foods customers and picks up product at our suppliers. * Safely and efficiently operate DTI equipment for transportation of product to customers and from suppliers * Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements imposed by the Dept. of Transportation, FMCSA, or any other governing body * Load & unload dry and temperature controlled goods * Meet established company goals including managing MPG, fuel purchases, idle time, and speed * Read and understand truck load paperwork, as well as product and packaging descriptions * Understand and safely follow directions and instructions * Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position Role Specifics: * Typically dispatched for 2 – 4 days per trip, and will average 2 days of home time per week * Working in all weather conditions, both weekday and weekend schedules, day and night driving * Includes sitting, walking, or standing during work hours * Regular physical activity, including the ability to safely lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly What Can Dot Offer You?
