Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others
Chase Business Banking (BB), part of the Consumer & Community Banking line of business, serves more than 2,000,000 small business customers nationally, with more than $20 billion in loans.
The Risk Reporting & Data Management Team reports to the Chief Risk Officer of Business Banking (BB) and is tasked with:
Daily and monthly reconciliation of data going from Retail to Wholesale for the creation and maintenance of BB's facilities used for Credit Risk Management and Capital Calculations & Regulatory Reporting.
Representing BB Risk working as a SME with the various Technology Teams in CCB and Wholesale on minor and major system enhancements related to existing feeds & applications in the Credit Risk space.
Investigating Data Quality Issues and working CCB Data Management to determine report impact & solutions.
Participate and represent BB Risk at the various Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) and Wholesale Risk & Data Forums.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
data analysis experience
SQL skills (can write simple queries viewing multiple tables and can understand more complicated queries when provided)
detail oriented, highly organized and comfortable in analyzing data, presenting findings in a structured and logical manner.
comfortable working in a sometimes high pressure environment, where daily priorities may change, with the need to balance BAU activities and project work.
a self-starter, comfortable in figuring out issues and willing to work with various Technology & Operations Teams to discuss & determine solutions.
3+ years proven experience in business analysis roles.
Strong skills in Microsoft Project and PowerPoint applications and overall written and verbal communication
Experience working in a matrix management environment
Understanding of the development life cycle including design, planning, development, testing, implementation
Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work independently
Knowledge of credit risk data and risk systems beneficial
