Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others.

The Vice President will support Chase for Business through enhancing changes to Risk Management strategies for loan acquisitions. Candidate will work with business and functional stakeholders to drive the strategy including automating and coordinating lending decisions across lines of business including Business Card and Merchant Services.

  • Identify key opportunities within Chase's business lending, conduct in-depth research, and present proposals to senior management

  • Work across lines of business to redevelop and launch new cross-LOB coordinated strategies, channels and products

  • Utilize business knowledge to find innovative solutions to complex business problems and drive healthy business growth with full cycle view of loss and profitability

  • Assist with the review and prioritization of technology changes for Acquisition Risk strategy

  • Ensure robust controls and governance are in place to effectively manage operational risk

  • Work with execution team to implement, validate, and monitor the strategies for quality and performance

The role requires an understanding of the business lending with a specific focus on strategy development, implementation and lending policies. Specific qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Masters Degree preferred

  • 5+ Years analytic business / commercial lending experience

  • Proven innovative thinker with ability to identify, analyze and solve problems in a thoughtful and organized manner to develop strategy recommendations

  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail to deliver new strategies in a complex decision technology environment

  • Demonstrate understanding of SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner (or other decision tree software)

Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others The Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Risk Control Team's primary function is to implement and manage an effective control framework across the CCB Risk organization with the goal of identifying and remediating control issues with a sense of urgency, regardless of the source. The Chase Business Banking (BB) Risk Control team partners with all other CCB Risk and Control disciplines, adding an additional line of defense supporting Compliance, Risk and Audit, among others. The team also works in partnership on the development of new, and oversight of existing, control functions and protocols throughout Business Banking Risk and provides a centralized view of all control functions, assisting in immediate, real time problem detection and escalation. The team partners closely with Senior and Executive Leadership, Legal, Compliance and Technology as well as other groups within the Firm.
