Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others

As an Associate in the Loss Forecast and Portfolio Analytics team you will be working to provide oversight and drive production of the Credit loss forecast and loan loss reserve(LLR) for all JP Morgan Chase Credit Cards

Responsibilities

In this highly visible role, the successful candidate will actively help determine the loss forecasting results and drivers. This information will be presented to executive management and other internal clients.

Participate in cross functional communications with Risk Management, Finance, Marketing and Collections to inform the forecast on current learnings and incorporate strategic initiatives

Lead advanced analyses to assess relationships and patterns driving loss performance

Produce the loss forecast and maintenance of associated loss models

Help spearhead best in class documentation and operational risk and audit controls surrounding the loss forecasting and LLR

  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance/Stats/Econ/Math/Engineering) or equivalent work/training is required. Advanced degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of Credit risk Management, Marketing Analytics and/or Consulting experience

  • Strong knowledge of SAS, SQL and MS Office required

  • Strong P&L knowledge and understanding of drivers of profitability

  • Ability to efficiently compress large amounts of data into short and concise presentations with sound business conclusions

  • Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and its impact in both operational and financial areas

  • Transferable Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to develop elegant and common-sense solutions to complex business challenges

  • Ability to structure analyses to solve business questions and problems

They will be responsible for tracking project progress, resource utilization against plan as well as communication of to all partners to ensure timely and accurate distribution of information and reports; Communicating to all appropriate team members, downstream and upstream partners to ensure issue resolution. The position will interact with HL Credit Forecast team as well as partners in the Finance, Technology, and Modeling teams. This will be a key position in the Home Lending Credit Forecasting group responsible for providing senior management with current state of credit forecast production cycle and enhancements on automation initiatives. The successful candidate will excel at presentation, communication and problem solving, be detail oriented, self-motivated, confident and ready to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include: * Provide information to management by assembling, interpreting and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, along with analyses and recommendations to Senior Management * Work closely with upstream and downstream partners to communicate outcomes and analysis * Understand the Credit forecast process and needs and business decisions * Support all results through appropriate documentation * Expected to work on multiple projects with limited guidance * Mentor other analysts to help them develop their risk management skills and knowledge * Assist in data and forecast results analysis in a business and financial context * A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent work experience preferred * Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated achievement in risk management, financial or portfolio analysis and project management * Minimum 2-4 years of mortgage banking experience preferred * Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization is required with the ability to storyboard along with the ability to defend storyboard position * Advance knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, PPT, Project) * Strong project management and organizational skills required * Strong interpersonal skills - a highly motivated, confident, team player * Ability to work independently & manage projects and deadlines * Knowledge of the Mortgage Loss forecasting and SAS Program Jpmorgan Chase & Co.
