Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others
An associate position in the Small Business Card Risk Management team provides the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop, while making significant contributions to the business. The role requires thoughtful leadership and analytic skills to develop, monitor and manage business card risk and performance and to participate in key business banking risk initiatives. A successful candidate must also possess the ability to identify key risks and problems, conduct in-depth research, and clearly articulate proposed solutions. Specific responsibilities include:
Conduct analysis to assess customer profitability, risks and opportunities to develop new credit risk strategies and drive healthy business growth, considering a full cycle view of risk and profitability
Develop small business risk strategies through advanced analytical and segmentation techniques.
Leverage deep business understanding and analytic skills to support initiatives with business partners, including marketing, finance and other risk functions.
Work with risk execution to implement, validate, and monitor strategy quality and performance and to ensure robust controls and governance approach for managing operational risk.
Work with governance and control groups to support internal audit and external regulatory requests.
Manage projects in cross-functional organizations working collaboratively across Risk COE's and xLOB partners, both in consumer and commercial banking.
MS or PhD degree in Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Applied Economics, Decision Science, Operations Research, Mathematics (or equivalent quantitative field)
3+ years of relevant analytics/modeling/optimization experience. Experience in financial firm/business banking industry is preferred.
Expertise with software packages including SAS, SQL, Enterprise Miner/Knowledge Seeker/CART, MS Office/VBA.
Proven analytical thinker with ability to identify, analyze and solve problems in a thoughtful and organized manner to develop innovative strategy recommendations.
Results oriented with attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility.
Ability to present to Senior Management displaying excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence outcomes.
