Job Summary
The Associate Project Engineer would proactively assist the Project Manager in coordinating and engineering of capital projects to benefit the refinery. The Associate Project Engineer assists with and performs engineering duties which may include the following: engineering feasibility studies, economic analysis of simple projects, basic engineering plans, cost estimates and specifications, evaluation and selection of equipment and materials. The position is responsible for developing solutions to problems of limited scope and performing routine tasks related to a particular field of engineering.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in relevant Engineering discipline required; Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Management preferred.
Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Candidates must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credentials Card)
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.

Job Duties
Assist in project scope development including interfacing with Process, Reliability, Operations, and Construction groups.
Prepare draft project documents and meeting notes for review by Project Manager.
Review and provide plant documentation to engineering contractors.
Participate in engineering reviews of technical documents.
Assist with field technical support during construction.
Assist with cost analysis to develop forecast and cost trends.
