Load and/or drives truck over established route to deliver products and potentially collect non- cash payments.


  • Properly conducts a pre and post trip inspection, notating any vehicle defects. Abides by the DOT hours of service rules and regulations for their license type.

    The potential for dedicated overnight routes exist. Accurately delivers invoiced products by bottle, case, pallet or hand-stack from the delivery truck and placing said merchandise into customer account. Verifies receipt of correct order with the customer by checking product type and size against the provided invoice, obtains customer signature and payment if necessary, for goods received.

    Ensures physical security of truck at all times. Delivers to approximately 19 accounts daily. May deliver to up to 30 accounts during times of increased account activity.

    Covers approximately 160 miles daily, miles occasionally increase anywhere from 200 to 300 miles during times of increased account activity or out of town routes. Possibility to work with one or more helpers. Provide feedback to transportation management in terms of route changes or route concerns. May utilize a smartphone for interaction with hours of service (HOS) software and/or driver monitoring programs.


High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferably two years delivery experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. Requires a current Class B CDL driver's license (Class A CDL license also allowed and may be required for positions based on location); ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements Must be able to obtain valid DOT medical certification card and file appropriately with state Motor Vehicle Department Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by the state We are an Equal Opportunity employer.

What you can expect in this position: Under direct supervision by department leadership, performs phlebotomy collection of whole blood and apheresis products. Interacts with donors and coordinators, providing a high level of customer service to deliver an excellent donation experience. Takes pride in and is committed to delivering high quality services. Responsible for driving the mobile drive vehicle and transporting the mobile staff in a safe and efficient manner. What you will do: * With a valid CLD, may operate mobile drive buses. Following all DOT guidelines, safely transports staff, supplies and equipment and arrives at site on time. * Understands and performs to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements. * Demonstrates Core Values: Do Right Always, Find a Better Way, Make Results Happen and Strengthen the Team. * Treats donors with customer service excellence, presenting a positive image. * Recognizes when the customer is distressed and responds appropriately with tact. * Responds to customer inquiries, requests and complaints with a timely and complete response and escalates to leader when appropriate. * Prepares collection site and performs set up, including technology systems (may include quality control). * Performs donor screening (collects donor histories) and mini-physical. * Performs phlebotomy. * Conducts automation (Alyx and/or Trima), including recognizing and responding to automation reactions. * Recruits and converts donors for automation. * May prepare and pack units for transport. * Observes donors for reactions, provides reaction care and assists other staff in handling reactions if needed. * May provide post-reaction care at mobile drives including assessing reactions for recovery, escorting donors and serving as liaison to coordinate care with host organization (e.g. high school nurse, drive coordinator. * Rebooks donors for future donation appointments. * Travels to other local collection sites, as determined by business need. * Requires evening, weekend and holiday work hours. * Creates a safe environment for donors and staff members. * Operates and performs routine maintenance on equipment including troubleshooting. * Maintains product integrity and ensures proper identification of all donors. * Completes department records and maintains organization, as needed. * May participate in validation of new processes or new equipment. * Reviews daily work for accuracy and recognizes unexpected results, resolving where appropriate. * Other duties, as assigned. What you will need: Education * High school diploma or GED Experience * 1 or more years relevant people facing experience preferred. * Typically requires less than 1 year of job-related experience. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations This job is subject to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and is designated as a DOT safety-sensitive position and is subject to meeting the requirements of 49 CFR Part 40 (drug and alcohol testing) and Part 391 (physical health, professional experience and motor vehicle record). Skills and Knowledge * Valid drivers' license with prior driving experience. * Valid CDL with air brakes endorsement (B). * Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information and/or the use of simple equipment, machines and materials. Knowledge is usually acquired through training on the job. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals. * Must have basic mathematical aptitude. * Ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions. * Ability to organize work to provide productive work flow. * Flexibility to work independently and with a team. * Has strong attention to detail. * Must have good communication skills, including the ability to provide feedback to peers. * Ability to learn/utilize computer applications such as Ceridian, Hemasphere, Oracle, and HemaTerra. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions * Physical demands: Daily tasks include a mixture of standing, sitting, and walking. Hand-eye coordination with significant manual dexterity and frequent repetitive hand motions. Reaching above the head and lifting up to 40-pound items occurs occasionally. Visual and hearing acuity to perform essential responsibilities.
