Ohio University Transportation & Parking Services is seeking responsible and reliable student drivers.

This position is focused on evening and weekend shift opportunities to assist with our CATS Late Night transit services. Student drivers are expected to assist with:

• CATS Late Night

• Fleet Rental vehicle cleaning

Student driver duties may include the following:

1.Operates transportation services for students, faculty/staff of Ohio University to include scheduled university routes, on-demand transportation resources, accessibility transport & special event accommodations.

2.Provides superior customer service and safe, efficient transport to customers with adherence to all university, state, and federal laws and regulations. Performs routine vehicle inspection activities and maintains proper transportation documentation to ensure compliance with all position requirements.

3.Assists with transportation dispatching and ride request scheduling as needed based on transportation request demand utilizing scheduling software to meet campus transportation needs.

4.Responsible for cleaning, inspecting and general maintenance duties associated with university fleet to include washing and fueling of vehicles.

This positions focus is to provide excellent customer service and safe, efficient and reliable transport to customers with adherence to all university, state and federal laws and regulations.

Position will be required to work with scheduling software at times and should have a exhibit a willingness to learn new technologies.

Training in each vehicle type will be provided. Position is contingent upon passing all aspects of departmental driver training course.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a current student.

• Must have valid United States Class D license with demonstrated safe driving record.

• Minimum of 1 year of applicable experience.

• Must be flexible with work hours.

Preferred Qualifications Department Transportation & Parking Pay Rate

$11.00 / hour
