Catholic Pianist

Adams1and1 is a leading music company specializing in Catholic music. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Catholic Pianist to join our team. As a Catholic Pianist, you will have the opportunity to showcase your talent and contribute to the creation of beautiful and spiritually uplifting music.

The Catholic Pianist will be responsible for adding a melodic and harmonic dimension to our compositions and performances. You will work closely with Catholic choirs, vocalists, and other musicians to create a harmonious and enriching musical experience for our audience. This role requires a deep understanding of Catholic liturgical music and the ability to infuse the pieces with emotion and spirituality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Catholic choirs and musicians to prepare and perform various musical pieces for liturgical ceremonies, concerts, and events.
• Interpret sheet music and provide accompaniment to Catholic hymns, psalms, and other liturgical compositions.
• Prepare practice materials and conduct rehearsals to ensure the highest level of musical performance.
• Improve and maintain technical proficiency on the piano through consistent practice and exploration of different musical styles.
• Assist in the selection and arrangement of musical pieces suitable for Catholic liturgical celebrations.
• Actively participate in the creative process by suggesting musical arrangements and harmonies that enhance the spiritual experience.
• Collaborate with music directors, composers, and lyricists to bring their compositions to life through piano accompaniment.
• Perform solo piano compositions as required, showcasing your technical skills and ability to captivate an audience.

Requirements

• A deep understanding and appreciation for Catholic liturgical music, including hymns, psalms, and choral compositions.
• Proficient in sight-reading sheet music and playing the piano with expressiveness and accuracy.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of musicians and singers.
• Excellent knowledge of different musical styles, including classical, contemporary, and traditional Catholic music.
• Demonstrated experience in performing as a pianist for Catholic liturgical ceremonies and events.
• Passionate about creating spiritually uplifting music that resonates with the audience.
• Ability to adapt to changes in musical arrangements or program schedules with ease.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient rehearsals and performances.
