Job Description Summary

Catering Sales Manager require the ability to communicate well with customers and venues. Catering Sales Manager must pay careful attention to detail using information from several sources to plan a successful event. As a Catering Sales Manager you will be responsible for preparing all event documentation and coordinating between Sales, support departments and customer to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout pre-event, event, and post-event phases of group program and or catering event.

Job Description

  • Responsible for all administration of Banquet/Catering BEOs and Resumes for Catering and Banquet events.

  • Responsible for booking Banquet/Catering Business.

  • Plan, coordinate, group, catering, special events and holiday functions.

  • Develops and maintains client files.

  • Partners with the operations team to provide a customer experience that exceeds the customers' expectations.

  • Effectively support relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for future event opportunities.

  • Drive product quality and a unique guest experience at every opportunity.

  • Maintain a refreshing attitude focused on positive friendly interactions with guests and staff.

  • Develop and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships and open communication lines to assure efficient transfer of information.

  • Consults with Sales Team/clients/customers to determine best event options based on the client's needs.

  • Prepares required event forms utilizing hotel systems and forms, completing meticulous tasks, and negotiating pricing.

  • Preparation and planning of the venue for the events, including menus, equipment, food, and services.

  • Communicating effectively with clients, staff, and third-party vendors.

  • Maintain accurate records of communications, contracts, billing, deposits, and other financial and correspondences needs as set by hotel.

  • Build and maintain customer relationships.

  • Serve as our primary point of contact.

  • Maintain accurate BEO (banquet event order) paperwork for each booking.

  • Ensures all event checks have been accurately processed through hotel systems. Review after each event and communicate to the appropriate departments for corrections or additions.

  • Work together with the Sales Team to ensure a seamless program.

  • Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling.

  • Maintain accurate information on all bookings, specifically program details, client correspondence, traces and to-do lists utilizing hotel booking systems.

  • Produce/oversee and distribute 10-day Events Schedule and BEO Packet, as well as Daily Events Schedule.

  • Preside over weekly 10-day BEO reading and daily 3-day BEO readings.

  • Respond to all customer inquiries within 24 hours or sooner.

  • Follow proper event management procedures for event execution to include but not limited to BEO creation, F&B forecasting, resume communication, amenity/VIP designation and room block management.

  • Produce/oversee and distribute accurate banquet/catering event orders, timelines, diagrams, and resumes 10 days prior to group arrival or said event.

  • Collaborate with our chef on menu requests.

  • Develop promotions or specialty packages to entice new customers.

  • Complete all required training set by hotel and corporate guidelines.

  • Other duties maybe assigned.

Pay Range

$26.08-$28.60 - Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific/overall experience.
