Description

The Catering Sales Manager is a key sales position, responsible for maintaining existing catering accounts as well as actively soliciting new business.

In this role you will foster relationships in order to meet or exceed revenue goals. In addition you will provide leadership to the Catering team and professionally represent the company at all industry/community functions and act as a team player with all departments.

  • Qualifies sales opportunities through inquiries and prospecting to maximize revenue potential

  • Inputs data to generate proposals, contracts, BEO's, update client files, and enter information into the catering software used on site

  • Follows up with all clients through phone calls, letters, and site tours in order to secure contracts and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Greets and services all clients/groups to ensure satisfaction

  • Must be able to successfully manage and execute events in a fast-paced environment

  • Verifies, from the booking report, that all files are made and that all bookings are turned definite in a timely manner

  • Phone support, creating correspondence, and provide back-up support for the managers as well as administrative staff

  • Weekends and evenings will be required based on the bookings

  • Creates and maintains reports as needed to assist with the sales effort

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education required, Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Previous catering sales experience within a hotel, country club or event center preferred

  • Ability to meet sales goals consistently

  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail

Description Our Leisure group within SLC specializes in serving consumers; recreational and entertainment needs in national and state parks, zoos, aquariums, science centers, museums and other day-use cultural attractions. The scope of our operations includes operating lodging, conference and meeting space, houseboats and other marine activities, retail merchandise shops, fine dining restaurants, and interpretive tours in some of this country's most pristine protected lands and national parks. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Supervise the management of labor and mentoring of selling associates. * Work with HR department to hire staff, ensure proper staffing for events, staying within payroll budget. * Ensure development and training of customer service programs and product knowledge. * Training on point-of-sale registers and inventory guns. * Supervise daily store operations * Ensure proper procedures for opening and closing the store, including accountability of cash and credit cards, and security requirements. * Address and resolve any customer issues. * Verify accountability report of financial transactions, to include sales and transfers of merchandise to and from the stores. * Periodically check and verify the proper ticketing of merchandise. * Supervise periodic physical inventories as well as potential count discrepancies. Qualifications Qualifications: * Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years retail supervisory or management experience that includes inventory management. * Candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office. * All applicants must be able to work a flexible, event based schedule that includes some evenings and weekends. * Candidate must be willing to be hands on with staff and be willing to work event-based hours that include evenings and weekends.
