Summary of Job Scope and Expectations:
The Catering Coordinator position is responsible for the entire Panda Inn catering process, from lead generation to successful completion of catering events. This position is responsible for meeting/exceeding sales goals for Panda Inn catering. This job also coordinates all aspects of catering event set-up and planning. The Catering Coordinator will oversee all catering events on site to ensure the event goes according to plan and the client is satisfied. This position also conducts follow up with clients to confirm services meet and exceed their expectations.
Assist the Catering Manager to develop a catering sales and business strategy for Panda Inns.
Responsible for meeting/exceeding sales goals by establishing contacts with local organizations and individual clients through current relationships and cold calls. Calls on new and existing clients and makes effective presentations to gain and retain their catering business.
Coordinates with Operations leaders on pricing of catering services.
Coordinates all aspects of event set-up and planning, including menu and food tasting, rental arrangements, and any other services required to achieve high quality service delivery.
Oversees catered events on site to ensure everything goes according to plan and the client is satisfied. Maintains a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to attend all scheduled events.
Conducts follow up with clients to confirm services meet and exceed their expectations.
Responsible for maintaining accurate catering paperwork and updated customer files. Provides timely, accurate, and complete reports on sales activities, event expenses, and other required information.
Associate's degree preferred
Minimum one year experience in sales, catering, or food service required
