Sodexo's universities segment is seeking a dynamic Catering Manager 2 for our premiere account at Lynn University. Lynn University is a small private university located 20 miles South of Palm Beach and 25 miles north of Ft. Lauderdale, in Boca Raton, Florida. Lynn University is a private university in beautiful Boca Raton, Florida. Founded in 1962, its students come from all over the USA and approximately 80 other nations: 24% of students have citizenship in countries outside the United States. This accredited University is nationally ranked for its innovative Dining program featuring the Elmore Dining Commons, a 24-hour resident dining facility, and multiple retail accounts: Christine's Bistro and the Perper Coffee House. While also boasting a catering team focused on high end deliverance and multi-tiered experiences. We oversee dining services including resident dining in a brand new, state of the art dining facility, retail and catering. Lynn University has a total enrollment of 3,700 students with resident enrollment of approximately 1100 students and a large commuter population.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee a staff size of approximately 10+ Sodexo hourly associates in a non-union environment.

The ideal candidate:
has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous catering manager experience
has culinary experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
Financial ability to manage and demonstrate proven results with material costs, labor, procurement compliance and controllable expenses.
has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Catering Standards
Relocation Assistance Available*
Oversight of catering activities for a medium to large size location/unit with less than $1.5M in managed catering volume. Complex events with a high degree of hands on involvement in catering solutions. Large amount of high profile events. Strong client interaction.Key Duties- Oversight of Sodexo resources, recipes, systems and use of catering programs to direct daily catering events including; food production, inventory, product deliveries, invoices, and procurement operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement
Associate's Degree Basic Management Experience
2 years Basic Functional Experience 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
