Job Summary

As the Catering Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the seamless execution of food and beverage services for all internal and client-facing events, as well as supporting the day-to-day operations of the firm's café. Your role will ensure that the highest standards of service are maintained, while providing flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Planning & Coordination: Lead the planning and logistics for catering at meetings, client events, and firm-wide gatherings. Ensure dietary needs, preferences, and firm policies are respected while focusing on innovation and presentation.

• Café Operations Support: Oversee regular café operations, ensuring high-quality service during breakfast, lunch, and other meal periods. Collaborate with café staff to maintain a pleasant and efficient dining environment for firm employees.

• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external catering vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products and services. Work closely with vendors to develop seasonal and diverse menu options.

• Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop and manage the catering and café budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-efficiency without compromising quality. Provide detailed reports on spending and identify areas for cost savings.

• Team Leadership & Training: Supervise and train both catering and café teams, ensuring courteous, prompt, and professional service. Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and exceptional hospitality.

• Client & Staff Satisfaction: Foster relationships with firm staff and clients to gather feedback and continually refine both catering services and café offerings. Act as the primary point of contact for all dining-related inquiries, ensuring a personalized and responsive experience.

• Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and café environment. Stay informed of food service trends and innovations, incorporating them to enhance offerings.

• Flexibility & Adaptability: Work in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to changing needs. Flexibility in schedule is required, with the ability to support events that may occur outside of regular business hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree is required in Hospitality or Culinary Arts

• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catering, café management, or hospitality, with a focus on delivering excellent service in a corporate setting. Flexibility and leadership are key to success in this role.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry including 2 years in management (preferably Catering Management) is required

• Booking, selecting and costing menu items, pricing contracts, and resourcing temporary help and equipment experience is key

• The ability to supervise food preparation, service, and cleanup is also essential
