Overview
We are looking for a Catering Coordinator to spearhead local business development and community engagement.
For FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).

Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction
Identify and target potential clients through various channels, including inquiry follow ups, networking events, and referrals
Create detailed catering orders to present to the operations team as well as the client
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth in the catering market
Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the value proposition of our catering services
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new accounts to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, trade shows, etc.
Respond to all sales inquiries within 24 business hours
Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposals, writing contracts, customer correspondence, BEO's)
Capture the client's vision and communicate with operations and culinary when necessary
Responsible for negotiating catering sales contracts and the implementation and setup as required
Actively and creatively up-sell each catering event to maximize revenue
Ensure professional and timely correspondences, proposals, contracts, and follow-up
Work with the Catering Director on the catering revenue and expense budget/forecast reports
Work with the Catering Director and Executive Chef to ensure that Catering Menus are creative, innovative, and priced appropriately for the market
Carefully review all catering contracts to ensure proper profit margins are hit and event details are captured
Identify trends, research the competition's products, services, and pricing, and use it to develop strategic business plans
Actively participate in community and industry-related organizations
Work with the Catering Director on the completion of Quarterly Marketing Plans and Social Media Agendas
Partner with other Catering Coordinators, Event Managers, Culinary Team, and Directors to develop promotions to drive catering revenue during need periods.
Participate in management meetings to discuss budget and forecast
Conduct weekly sales calls to existing and new accounts, as well as uncover new business through internet searches, telephone and email solicitations, mailings, referrals, networking, trade shows, professional and community organizations, sales, etc. in the assigned market segment(s)
Partner with the operations team to coordinate customer specifications, and effectively respond to customer issues and comments to ensure customer satisfaction
Adjust work schedule as needed to meet the business demands, which may include hours in early morning, evening and/or weekend hours
Supervise execution of events which may include working on the weekends, evenings and/or holidays
Work with local venue partners to represent our brand to their clients & book events
Manage at least $500K revenue in your first 6 months
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in the catering or food service industry
Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and build relationships
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with leadership and hourly staff to execute events
Food Handler Certification (Preferred)
TABC Certification (Preferred)
