Category Sourcing Manager

Do you enjoy a collaborative environment working with multiple departments? The Sourcing Category Manager will be responsible for leading global spend associated with assigned commodity areas including the development, and execution of sourcing strategies that align with the enterprises overall business objectives. This includes the support of financial expectations through the delivery of total cost solutions across the supply chain while driving supplier collaboration/relationship efforts and new product, category, and innovation activities.

This position is hybrid - remote/onsite at our Winston-Salem, NC office.

Activities:

• Design and implement robust sourcing strategies to support category growth and optimized total costs.

• Driving projects including supplier identification, conducting and analyzing RFx, supplier selection and program execution.

• Prepare for, lead and support key vendor negotiations.

• Proactively analyze spend data to identify new sourcing opportunities or improve current supply chain efficiencies.

• Actively supervise and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, and compliance.

• Continually research to understand the company's needs, requirements, and trends of the category in order to contribute to supply chain improvements.

• Partner with key stakeholders and the global sourcing teams to reduce the total cost of ownership.

• Teamwork and problem solving with other internal process partners, including Quality, Engineering, Planning, Sales and Marketing to ensure achievement business requirements and objectives.

• Develop, lead, participate, and/or implement process changes to support business initiatives.

• Lead, build and manage strategic supplier relationships.

• Coordinate and manage requisitions and purchase orders as needed.

• Managing inventory delivery and invoicing issues as needed.

Preferences/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required in supply chain, business, or technical field

• MBA is desirable

• 3+ years successful experience in sourcing or purchasing environment with focus on global category strategy development and execution

• Outstanding analytical, negotiating, and relationship skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Project management experience is preferred

• Digital literacy with Microsoft Office applications and modern ERP systems

• CPM/CPSM certification is desirable.

Base Pay Range:

• $90,000 - $110,000
