Spreetail's Vendor Management team owns a key role in advancing our category's business agenda and pushing strategic business decisions by collaborating with internal teams and developing long-term relationships with our vendor partners. The team is tasked with driving profitability and margin expansion while owning the vision and ecommerce strategy of multiple categories.

Spreetail is seeking a Category Manager with experience driving profitability and margin expansion while owning the vision and ecommerce strategy of an entire category. This individual will play a key role in advancing the category's business agenda and pushing strategic business decisions by collaborating with internal teams and developing long-term relationships with our top-tier vendors.

As a Category Manager, you will:

  • Own the vision, strategy, performance, and overall success of a category in order to maintain and exceed long-term profitability goals

  • Build strong relationships with top-tier vendors and represent Spreetail when meeting with decision makers

  • Execute extensive negotiations with vendors to obtain the best pricing, volume, etc.

  • Strategize profit growth opportunities by analyzing data and identifying selection gaps

  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive change (Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Experience, Business Intelligence)

  • Utilize previous leadership experience to coach and develop direct reports within your category

Who You Are:

  • You have experience impacting business outcomes in regard to strategy and performance

  • You have a proven track record of building strong vendor relationships and driving negotiations

  • You have managed P&L's and KPI's

  • You can successfully lead, coach, and develop others within a large business unit

Mandatory Requirements * Strong communication and multitasking skills * Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles * Ability to read and understand driving directions and maps * Proficiency in English * Valid driver's license in good standing * High School diploma or general equivalency diploma required.
