What you will do:

Under general direction, position responsible for category management of assigned key account(s) including heavy analytical support, line review, trend

analysis and developing insights to drive customer performance

How you will do it:

  • Recommend strategies and tactics that can be implemented to drive sales performance, identify gaps or solve problems

  • Create and present market and consumer research to assigned account(s)

  • Conduct line reviews for assigned account(s) including assortment recommendations, segment trend performance and providing strategies and tactics to drive sales

  • Utilize sales, industry and market research data to maintain and identify business trends and opportunities

  • Analyze and interpret consumer, industry and sales data into actionable insights

  • Multi-task between projects and reporting/analytics with ability to adjust priorities based on opportunities/needs

  • Support internal and external account teams with unbiased recommendations based on knowledge of the market, industry, consumer and customer

  • Coach, mentor, and direct the work of analyst level team members as appropriate

  • Collect information for and maintain marketing information for market reporting

  • Accurately maintain product master data

  • Accurately maintain and process competitor information

  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all tasks, projects and responsibilities

  • Perform projects and analysis as needed

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, market research or related field

  • Minimum 5 years analytical experience; customer/Vendor analytical experience required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Proficient in JDA Prospace Planner

  • Proven ability to analyze 3rd party market share and articulate actionable insights to Customer

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage time, and deliver effectively in a fast moving environment while handling multiple responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to influence others through written and verbal communication. Strong presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to work with data from multiple sources, interpret data and turn into actionable insight

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experience managing significant scopes of working including research projects, a full customer portfolio, etc

  • Category Management experience

  • Travel up to 25%

Preferred:

  • Delta Bronze certification

  • Category Management Association certifications

  • Experience in customer and/or business solution strategy development

  • Automotive Aftermarket, Mass Merchant or Battery experience

In this role, the person is responsible for maximizing procurement leverage across the entire global portfolio of JCI products businesses, service business and functions. In terms of the Indirect Procurement Corporate Services categories, the position's concentration enterprise Finance & Tax Services. In addition, this individual will support the corporate services categories, as needed and assigned by the manager. What you will do: * Develop and lead implementation of global category procurement strategies for assigned Indirect Procurement Corporate Services categories; key areas of focus include Supplier agreements supporting enterprise Finance & Tax Services * Lead both traditional and non-traditional supplier procurement activities, ensuring timely execution and focusing upon global and regional solutions which improve services and reduce costs * Facilitate supplier procurement process and negotiations relative to business requirements and cost, maximizing JCI's leverage and negotiation position * Lead supplier contracting negotiations and execution, collaborating with Corporate Legal for escalation of certain risk-related terms and conditions * Identify, develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to increase engagement and develop a robust procurement project pipeline * For each procurement project, ensure project alignment and drive collaborative procurement efforts with the necessary cross-functional counterparts and matrix teams (e.g. IT, Risk Management, HR, Compliance, Legal, etc.) to maximize transactional efficiency and mitigate potential risks * Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to understand the suppliers' current services for the company as well as additional capabilities * Gain a comprehensive understanding of business and functional strategic roadmaps and resulting business requirements, as related to assigned categories * Drive cost out targets for the supply management organization;
