Responsibilities

You'll have the opportunity to interact with various teams during your internship experience with Wipfli including: Business Succession Planning, Human Capital Management, Cost Segregation, Investment Banking, Internal Controls (Internal Audit, SOX Compliance, Fraud and Forensics, Cybersecurity), Research and Development Tax Credit, Audit and Tax

What you'll do:

  • Support and collaborate with our team of experts to define, measure, and analyze situations and implement solutions

  • Be willing to observe, learn, and ask the right questions to gain industry and organizational knowledge and move things forward

  • Provide support for process improvement projects by identifying, proposing, and executing ideas and initiatives

  • Assist in documenting business requirements, process flow diagrams, and training materials

  • Create, iterate, and manage timelines and task assignments for the successful and timely execution of project deliverables

  • Conduct and support industry research initiatives by gathering information, documenting findings, and creating recommendations

  • Support knowledge management efforts to consolidate, centralize, and standardize information

  • Participate in research of new advancements and trends that might impact our clients

  • Communicate effectively across diverse audiences within and outside the team as necessary

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the firm and meet client expectations

Qualifications

  • A rising sophomore or junior working towards your Bachelor's degree (preferably in economics, statistics, finance, or business administration)

  • 2 GPA

  • Demonstrated ability to think independently and work autonomously with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Ability to adapt and navigate the gray space

  • Above average communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and an affinity towards project management

  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize work, follow through on requests, and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work autonomously and respond to changing priorities

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills

  • Integrity, reliability, a positive attitude and passion in the performance of responsibilities

The internship will last through year-end 2019, with the possibility of renewing in January. During this experience, you will have the opportunity to: * Add value to the organization through meaningful work * Participate in a variety of developmental experiences * Build a valuable network of peers, managers, and leaders across the company * Receive ongoing coaching and mentoring * Develop market research and analysis skills Intern roles and responsibilities will include: * Assist with design and implementation of customer surveys supporting Lincoln businesses * Analyze quantitative and qualitive data to support these studies * Summarize research results visually (using tables and graphs) and in writing * Present research results verbally to partners throughout the business * Partner with marketing and public relations teams to share interesting research findings externally * Leverage secondary research sources to provide insights to support decision-making and content creation across various areas of the business including marketing, product development, and sales * Work and collaborate as a valuable member of a team What we look for in candidates: * Currently enrolled in a college degree program * 10-20 hours/week part-time flexible schedule * A minimum GPA of 3.0 * Interested in market research / consumer research * Self-motivated and results-oriented * Strong attention to detail * Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Intellectual curiosity * Coursework or experience in qualitative or quantitative research is a plus, but not required * Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship This position may be subject to Lincoln's Political Contribution Policy.
