Casino Cashier Representative - New York New York

We're seeking a driven individual to join our team as a Casino Cashier Representative! This ON CALL position entails engaging with guests on the casino floor, providing assistance at the Cage for a range of gaming needs and addressing inquiries related to MGM Rewards. If you possess experience in face-to-face guest interactions, are adept at handling financial transactions, and excel in administrative tasks, this role presents an exciting opportunity for you!

THE JOB:

As the Casino Cashier Representative, you'll be entrusted with seamlessly managing precise financial exchanges between guests and departments, all while delivering exceptional guest experiences and promoting the MGM Rewards program. Your role encompasses upholding the highest standards in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, alongside departmental and company protocols. Additionally, you'll assist guests in signing up for the MGM Rewards program, ensuring they benefit fully from its perks.

THE STARTING RATE: $17.50/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Executes the following duties in accordance with Casino credit policies, including but not limited to marker payments & issuance, deposits, withdrawals, and chip bank duties not limited to Fills/Credit to the Pit and in the Cage. Assists guests with all transactional needs within specified guidelines. Ensures security of Company assets, including cash, chips, and tokens, during the shift.

• Promote, educate and drive guest enrollment into MGM Rewards program, MyVegas rewards program, and MGM Rewards Mastercard program; Issue FREEPLAY, complimentary play coupons and adjust tier credits to guests upon request in accordance with outlined company policies and procedures.

• Promote, demonstrates and maintains the highest level of S.H.O.W. guest service program to all guests, escalates guest complaints to the Casino Cage Shift Supervisor and responds effectively to guest inquiries related to the property and the local area.

• Understands Company AML/Suspicious activity policy and notifies Supervisor of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.

• Understands principles of responsible gaming and ensure consistent promotion of GameSense to all guests.

• Balances all appropriate banks within the Cage with supervision at the end of the shift in accordance with departmental variance policy and completes all reports or forms accurately in compliance with Title 31.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Previous experience in delivering the highest level of customer service.

• Proficiency in operating diverse computer programs and handling multi-line telephones.

• Experience in roles involving cash handling.

• Familiarity with various administrative duties such as data entry, using various computer programs, etc.

• Familiarity with hotel systems like Opera and Patron.

• Self-described as detail-oriented, quick to learn, and highly motivated.

• Availability to work flexible shifts/ hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed per on call requirements of the role.

• Comfortable with prolonged standing and exposure to cigarette smoke in a casino environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

• Must be able to obtain gaming license for the state of Nevada.
