JOB SUMMARYEmployee understands and practices proper cash handling procedures, is accurate in handling funds and should not have cash variances. Knows the proper handling of Hotel Guest Courtesy Charge Card, comps, coupons and multi tender transactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes, but is not limited to the following.)
Follow Sanitation Safety Procedures and Daily Sanitation Guidelines
Utilize proper hand washing techniques.
Makes change if necessary and return it to server.
Closes out register.
Cashiers involved directly with the customer should practice suggestive selling techniques, be informed of Hotel events and etc so that they can answer basic questions.
Must be willing to train new hires if asked.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Follow directions from Manager at all times.
Maintain proper uniform, ID badge and nametag at all times.
Maintain regular, predictable attendance in accordance with Food & Beverage policies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests.
Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
Ability to perform basic math.
Ability to understand the concept of cash handling, making change and counting it back to the guest.
