Cashier/Sales Associate

Job Description Job Description La Tropicana Food Market is currently accepting applications for part time cashiers at its Smyrna DE location. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES · Process sales transactions · Accept payments · Calculate and return change when required by the payment method · Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change as needed · Answer customer questions about products or services · Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts · Report issues with equipment · Work as a team to meet store sales goals · Handle customer complaints · Maintain clean and tidy checkout area · Assist in stocking and rotating merchandise · Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently · Stay up to date on merchandise promotions, advertisements and product information · Receive customers and assist them with the selection of merchandise and monitor customers to assist the store in loss prevention · Display and organize products in a store for the customers to locate easily · Perform product packaging duties · Maintain the outlook of the store through dusting, cleaning and restocking merchandise on the shelves · Perform other duties as business needs demand REQUIRED SKILLS Excellent customer service skills Exceptional work ethic and strict adherence to company policy and sales goals Ability to work flexible hours and multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented Ability to work in a team and independently with minimum supervision Time management and ability to prioritize tasks given Willingness to learn about new items and procedures quickly
