As the Cashier Supervisor You are accountable for driving customer service to achieve profitable sales growth by leading and engaging associates, delivering company checkout experience strategies and omnichannel processes, and coaching associates on customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service & Sales
  • Acts as a role model for the Manager on Duty program while directing customer service activities throughout the store. Models and holds team accountable for outstanding customer service. Greets and assists customers in finding products and partners with other team members when additional help is needed. Actively listens to customer issues to resolve problems. Maximizes sales and service by ensuring staff is scheduled appropriately, and by managing FIND more, credit, rewards and gift card programs.
  • Cashier Performance Trains, mentors and coaches all cashier associates on checkout procedures to ensure outstanding service behaviors are consistently exhibited. Regularly observes and ensures associates consistently follow and implement checkout experience processes. Monitors associate efficiency by utilizing Point of Sale productivity metrics.

  • Line Management and Checkout Standards Proactively shifts resources to checkouts based on observed fluctuations in store traffic. Reduces wait times during peak traffic periods by utilizing Mobile Point of Sale, Satellite Registers and Expeditor stations. Partners appropriately to stock all Impulse futures and to identify checkout supply needs.

  • Talent Acquisition and Training Creates and monitors the store's open requisitions and routes qualified applicants to the appropriate hiring manager. Coordinates the interview Talent Tryout process. Schedules and coordinates new hire orientations and training and administers ongoing associate training. Partners with the Merchandise Supervisor and General Manager on training compliance and schedule optimization.

  • Omnichannel Trains, mentors and coaches all associates at jcp.com. Pickup location on processes and transaction procedures related to delivery and return of jcp.com orders. Monitors and shares Ominchannel and reporting metrics and takes action to resolve issues.

  • Specialty Businesses Drives profitable sales growth in the Fine Jewelry, appliance, Mattress, Window, and Furniture businesses by leading and engaging associates. Responsible for the Specialty associate training and care/ protection plans. Manages the SET processes by planned floor moves and graphics as well as monitoring the Productivity Standards Program processes. Identifies sell-through opportunities and remerchandising of the selling floor to increase the rate of sale.

VIEW JOBS 11/2/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-31T00:00 PRIMARY PURPOSE: This position is responsible for serving as a customer services / information source and sales agent, providing miscellaneous service, as herein defined, to guests and retailers. This position is the front line position and Simon's interaction with its guests; consequently, strong sales and customer service skills are essential. This position is a temporary role for 90 days but has the possibility to become a permanent position depending on business needs and performance. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: * Responsible for representing Simon to guests by providing high quality, efficient, friendly and energetic service * Delivers on all Simon Service initiatives and delivers excellent service to guests * Serves as "Seller" function of the Simon Gift Card program, and/or other payment products * Oversees daily financial management (including responsibility for own deposit and reconciliation) of all initiatives sold at Simon Guest Services including Simon Gift Cards, and other mall programs * Responsible for maintaining a professional physical appearance of Simon Guest Services including marketing materials; signage, displays, and ensuring that all displayed information is current and relevant * Ability to respond to guest and retailer inquiries and advise on the appropriate resolution * Implements and follows all cash handling procedures per corporate guidelines for the POS and all Simon income-generating initiatives * Ability to capture additional information from consumers transacting or not transacting at Simon Guest Services (e.g. email or mobile information, charity donations * Provides support and assistance to co-workers and to other departments as requested by supervisor; participates in team meetings and efforts to implement the center's projects and achieve the center's goals * Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures pertaining to Simon programs including Simon Gift Cards, Simon Youth Foundation, Blackhawk Retailer Program, Gift with Purchase programs and other initiatives * Responsible for executing on all tourism initiatives (including individual and group tours), VIP Shopper program enrollments and tracking, and other programs unique to specific centers * Maintains confidentiality and follows the code of ethics  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * A high school diploma or equivalent * 1-2 years of customer service or sales background * The incumbent must be articulate, outgoing, and present a professional, pleasant, and courteous appearance at all times * Must be at least 18 years of age * Ability to spend 100% of his/her time on their feet when providing services to all internal and external guests * Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks for up to 5 hours at a time * Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays Simon Tyler TX
