Qualifications

Other information: High School (G.E.D.). Retail experience with cash handling experience preferred, Applicant must enjoy interacting with people.

Education:Essential:* High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Assures every customer is properly greeted. Takes steps to resolve customer questions or refers to the appropriate team member as necessary.

*Accepts and receipts all walk-in customer payments. Assures picked up prescriptions are given to the correct patient by using several patient identifiers.

*Follows laws and rules for checking out controlled substances including checking ID and accurately inputting ID numbers in the computer.

*Close credit card transactions to ensure payments.

*Prepares cash summary envelope and includes all forms of payments and receipts in the cash summary envelope. Secures deposit in safe.

*Responsible for daily reports as required.

*Cashier receipting payments must run and reconcile cash balance at end of shift. Any overage or underage should be reported to the PIC. *Cash drawer is always kept locked (by either a key or electronically by POS system) when not in use.

Keys to drawer can be kept on the cashier s person or in another convenient closed drawer. The supervisor should maintain an extra key for each cash drawer in a locked area.

*Cashier must be signed in on the computer to run the register.

*Keeps retail over-the-counter (OTC) sales floor neat and organized.

*Restocks retail OTC items as part of regular daily duties

• Works with bookkeeper to order retail stock and gives input as to what items should be added to sales floor.
