  • Cashier Revenue Management Center (Mercy Hospital of Buffalo):

This position has the responsibility for managing of cash collection at the point of service in facility. This includes, but is not limited to the following (1) Posting of cash receipts for patient accounts and related health system services (2) Daily reconciliation of cash to ensure the security of receipts as well as preparing and ensuring daily bank deposits (3) Daily interaction with the CH finance team to ensure proper recording of cash and (4) Daily and monthly completion of various reports associated with accurate reflection of cash on hand. A high level of customer service is expected in this role at Catholic Health.

Supervisor, Cash Reconciliation

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):

Education

  • High School Graduate/or Equivalent, with emphasis on business courses

Experience

  • One (1) year of experience in clerical setting preferred

Knowledge, Skill and Ability

  • Must possess excellent/effective communication/interpersonal skills

  • Organizational skills, necessary. Attention to details and follow through a must

  • Must have an aptitude for figures as position requires a great demand of accuracy and concentration (test required)

  • Must be able to deal with the public, medical staff and hospital personnel in a courteous and professional manner

  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions and have the ability to exercise good judgement in decision making

  • Familiarity with third party reimbursement

VIEW JOBS 12/5/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-05T00:00 * Director Revenue Capture & Charge Master – Revenue Management Center (Catholic Health): Under the direction of the Vice President, Patient & Resident Financial Services, the Director, Revenue Capture and Charge Master will have primary responsibility for overseeing the charge description masters (CDMs) across Catholic Health. Central to this role is an understanding and management of relationships between revenue cycle and other clinical and non-clinical departments of Catholic Health. This position is responsible for planning and organizing the initiatives supporting revenue capture and integrity, maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements, directing and providing oversight for the staff, maintaining knowledge of current events and innovations to enhance the revenue cycle, communicating with key stakeholders within the ministries, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction to our customers, both internal and external. This position is responsible for coordination of the CDM maintenance process to ensure all federal, state and local payer requirements are incorporated into the CDM; collaboration with clinical areas as it relates to the revenue cycle, the CDM, the charge capture process and charge reconciliation; collaborative oversight and support of revenue cycle operational improvements in response to opportunities, problems and denials; and monitoring, auditing and measuring the effectiveness of the revenue cycle process including charge capture and reconciliation procedures. The Director will act as the primary contact for all reimbursement and enrollment/credentialing issues related to professional services within Catholic Health's ministries in accordance with established policies and procedures. The role collaborates closely with the Vice President of Physician Integration and Practice Management and external billing vendors on all physician enrollment and billing matters. REPORTS TO: Vice President, Patient & Resident Financial Services SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Revenue Cycle CDM Analysts Revenue Management Physician Practice Liaison Provider Enrollment Coordinators SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM): Educational Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in finance or healthcare related field required * Master's Degree preferred * Patient Financial Services or HIM background required * Coding credential (CPC, CCA, CCS, RHIT) preferred Experience Requirements * Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in chargemaster, coding, billing and/or reimbursement associated with all aspects of the revenue cycle * Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a supervisory/management role, preferably in a multi-hospital system * Knowledge and use of patient accounting systems preferred * Business process improvement and/or change management experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, Ability * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications * Excellent communication (written and verbal), time management, presentation and organizational skills * Proven leadership with ability to develop, engage, challenge and mentor others. Possesses core management skills that include the ability to interface and collaborate effectively with management, staff and senior executives * Ability to lead through influence, achieve support for initiatives and build consensus among stakeholders.
