As a cashier at Walmart, you are more than just an "item scanner." You play a major role in how our customers feel when they leave the store. You might be the first, last, and sometimes only associate that customers interact with. That's why it's so important to smile, greet, and thank each and every customer.

The pace can be intense, especially in the evenings, on weekends, and during a holiday season. There are times when you have to juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping customers: scan items, explain a price, bag items properly, count cash back, and keep your area clean--you get the idea!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Smile, greet, and thank customers with a positive attitude

  • Stand for long periods of time while checking out customers quickly and accurately

  • Keep your area clean and presentable

  • Answer customer questions and help them with their needs

  • Be available to assist associates across the store as needed

Strategic End-Use Business Specialist Shaw Commercial has more than 600 annuity accounts and we're looking to grow. Going deeper and wider with large, end-use, annuity accounts is one of the most reliable and profitable ways for Commercial to increase sales revenue. The Strategic End-Use Business Specialist will be critical in gathering insights, identifying potential customers, and preparing supporting materials for segment-based business. This role's primary purpose is to provide actionable insights based on varied data sources that can be translated into profitable gains for the company. The role will report to the Director of Total Customer Strategies, but can also expect guidance from the Commercial VP of Strategic Accounts. Role responsibilities would include but are not limited to: * Deriving and presenting segment-specific, in-depth insights and business recommendations from varied data sources, such as Qlikview, Tableau, industry literature, web searches, economic journals, etc. * Creating market and business overviews that contain leading sales metrics and indicators * Developing and calculating potential to consume formulas (PTC), wallet share, account maps, identified decision-makers, and customer buying habits * Preparing insights for and facilitating whiteboard/market assessment sessions. * Ongoing reporting that includes ROIs, segment trends, product category mix and margin * Subject matter expert in assigned market segments, such as corporate, retail, health-care, senior living, education, hospitality, government, global markets, and multi-family. * Collaborating with brand segment leaders, in-market sales specialists, and aligned VPSAs * Portfolio management of strategic account listing for 5 to 10 aligned VPSAs * Manage sales analytics for performance evaluation and compensation purposes for aligned VPSAs An ideal candidate should: * possess a bachelor's or master's degree in business, analytics, marketing, or a related field * possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills; experience working in/building cross-functional teams and fostering internal and external relationships. * be self-motivated and capable of managing own tasks with little direct supervision, organization, able to prioritize and multitask * exercise strong analytical skills including logical thinking, problem-solving, objectivity, and the ability to break down complex concepts into manageable components then provide insights and recommendations * have a thorough understanding of information flows pertaining to sales and financial analysis. * possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time-management skills. * have the ability to travel up to four times a year * communicate the impact and value of contributions: The "big picture."
