Cashier Duties:

  • Create a world-class customer experience through front-end customer engagement and point-of-sale interaction

  • Cash register ringing & general cash handling

  • Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation of the best apparel and equipment brands in sporting goods

  • Promote company programs including warranty sales, Scorecard (loyalty program), private-label credit cards, and other seasonal promotions

  • As business needs arise, other tasks may become necessary

Success Profile:

  • Flexible Availability - Including Nights, Weekends, and/or Holidays

  • Accurate and comfortable with math and currency

  • 1-2 years of Retail Cashier and/or Retail Sales experience preferred

These accountingservices include posting, billing, accounts receivable management, collectionmanagement, Examplesof Work Performed: * Dailyreceives cash, checks and credit card payments from patients, recordsappropriately on the clinical computer system * Distributecash receipts to patients and maintains the appropriate copies for the office. * Reconcileand verify cash, check and credit card transactions to various reports run onthe clinic computer system and credit card transaction terminals. * Assistsin the daily preparation of the deposit for the 1st floor clinical activity toinclude School of Dental Medicine deposit log sheet, UCD campus cash receipt,the bank deposit receipt and armored car deposit pick up log. * Responsiblefor making sure that the proper paperwork is retained in the payment office andsent to the Bursar's Office. * Responsiblefor verifying Medicaid eligibility and once treatment for a Medicaid patienthas been rendered is responsible for entering the information into the webbased Medicaid Billing program. * Maintainfiles for all Medicaid paperwork and any Medicaid correspondence in the patientaccounting office. * Processall patient payments received by mail. Process Medicaid payments receivedelectronically from the Department of Health Care & Human Services. * Identifythe patient and the clinic where treatment was rendered and records andallocates all payments to the patient's account. * Receiveand greet patients and offers information concerning clinic practice policies,procedures and operations. * Advisepatients on financial payment responsibilities and dental insurance policies,clarifying what various policies will and will not cover. * Advisepatients, residents, students, faculty and staff concerning patient accountsand resolve patient financial accounting problems. * Explainsthe financial policies and procedures of the School of Dental Medicine andPatient Accounting Department to patients, staff, residents and faculty.
