Cashier / Barista

Cashier/Barista Job Duties:

• Performs basic math functions to collect payments and provide any accurate change, as needed.

• Reports to work on time, ready, and excited to work scheduled shifts.

• Keeps the store clean and orderly.

• Keeps the bar area clean.

• Maintains stock of clean mugs, plates, and necessary equipment.

• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and reports and maintenance necessary needs.

• Comply with health and safety regulations.

• Maintains an accurate cash drawer and basic retail inventory count.

• Answer guests' questions regarding ingredients and maintains a proficient knowledge of food intolerances and allergies.

• Takes orders, paying attention to small details and requests (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios, etc.).

• Prepare beverages following recipes and requests.

• Serve beverages and prepare hot/cold food such as cookies, pastries, and muffins.

Education & Experience

• No experience necessary! Training provided during first weeks of employment.

• Prior experience in a retail or restaurant environment preferred, but not required.

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
