The Cashier, Nutrition Services provides hospital staff, students and/or visitors with correct charges for food and beverage service. To provide properly recorded sales and census statistics and proper accounting of all monies received. As well as cleaning keeping assigned areas according to department sanitation policies and procedures: work station (area and equipment), proper disposal of trash, sweep and/or mop floor as needed.
Pay: $17.01 Hourly Rate

Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 6 plus months of experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer service experience
- 6 Months of similar work experience
Responsibilities:
- Actualizes ABM Healthcare Support Services Mission, Vision and Value statements. Demonstrates friendliness, courtesy and effective communication.
- Meets population specific and all other competencies according to the department requirements.
- Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients.
- Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience following the principles of our interdisciplinary care delivery system.
- Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of a daily bank in accordance with operating procedures.
- Maintains accurate account of cash and daily receipts in cash register - includes correction of errors and taking proper readings in accordance with operating procedures.
- Responsible for operation of cash register including acceptance of payment and providing proper credit for each charge and making correct change in accordance with operating procedures..
- Responsible for setting up workstation in a timely manner and restocking supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Maintains knowledge of current menu items, portions, and pricing.
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to follow written and/or verbal instruction
- Ability to complete assignments under direct periodic supervision.
- Must be compatible with others and work well in a service situation with many different people.
- Must have the ability to learn correct usage if chemicals, supplies, tools and equipment.
- Must have neat and clean appearance.
- Must have the ability to work variety of shifts/variable schedule.
- Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas according to department sanitation policies and procedures: work station (area and equipment), proper disposal of trash, sweep and/or mop floor as needed.
- Reports the need for equipment repairs to Supervisor or Director.
- Participates in cross-training to work in other areas of department.
- Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.
- Participate in scheduled department meetings.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
