Summary:
The Cashier is responsible for completing sales transactions within the establishment and performing othersupport functions which may include cleaning the food, display and/or stock areas and assisting with stockingactivities; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management. This isa non-exempt position and typically reports to the Store Manager.Essential Functions: Operates a cash register and receives payment from customers in cash or credit card, accuratelycounts and provides change to customers as required, and follows all HMSHost customer service andcash handling policies and procedures Maintains a solid knowledge of products and services available in unit Cleans and stocks work area Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions and operate equipment withperipheral electronic data processing

VIEW JOBS 1/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-21T00:00 <p><strong>Summary</strong><strong>:</strong> As an Executive Chef - Coordinates activities of and directs training of chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers engaged in preparing and cooking foods to ensure an efficient and profitable food service by performing the following duties personally or through facility supervisors.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul> <li>Plans or participates in planning menus and utilization of food surpluses and leftovers, taking into account probable number of guests, marketing conditions, popularity of various dishes, and recent of menu.</li> <li>Estimates food consumption and purchases or requisitions foodstuffs and kitchen supplies for special events.</li> <li>Reviews menus, analyzes recipes for cost and acceptance and determines foods to be utilized in conjunction with the Director of Purchasing. </li> <li>Directs menu committee to control costs.</li> <li>Mentors cooks and other kitchen personnel and coordinates their assignments to ensure economical and timely food production.</li> <li>Observes and implements methods of food preparation and cooking, sizes of portions, and garnishing of foods to ensure food is prepared in prescribed manner with the use of production sheets and pre and pull forms.</li> <li>Tests cooked foods by temping, tasting, observing and smelling them.</li> <li>Devises special dishes and develops recipes.</li> <li>Familiarizes newly hired Chefs and Cooks with practices of kitchen and oversees training of Cook Apprentices.</li> <li>Recognizes and communicates sanitation standards.</li> <li>Troubleshoots various culinary issues as they arise.</li> <li>Conducts quality assurance review for direct reports;</li> <li>Directly supervises 1-20 employees in the Culinary Trainee Program;</li> <li>Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws;</li> <li>Manages and trains for appropriate paperwork for corporate office to maintain employee records, coaching, counselling, etc. Communicates effectively with the Corporate office on a regular basis in a proactive nature.</li> <li>Conducts interviews with candidates;</li> <li>Trains employees;</li> <li>Plans, assigns, and directs work;</li> <li>Appraises performance;</li> <li>Rewards and disciplines employees;</li> <li>Addresses complaints and resolves problems</li> </ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li><strong>Qualified candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years experience in Healthcare preferably in a Long Term Care or Rehabilitation facility.</strong></li> <li><strong>5+ years of successful supervisory experience is required in a healthcare setting hiring, training and managing staff.</strong></li> <li>Outstanding culinary skills, a passion for food, and excellent knowledge of gourmet food preparation.</li> <li>High energy for working long shifts and be flexible as to hours/days worked, as shifts will include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.</li> <li>Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image.</li> <li>Effective organizational, problem solving skills are necessary.</li> <li>Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully in all circumstances.</li> <li>Ability to effectively delegate, plan, work under pressure in a small area, and have excellent attention to detail.</li> </ul><p><strong>Education and Skills:</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience</li> <li>Serve Safe Certification required</li> <li>Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals;</li> <li>Ability to correspond routine reports and correspondence;</li> <li>Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization;</li> <li>Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations;</li> <li>Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry;</li> <li>Ability to define problems, collect date, establish facts and draw valid conclusions;</li> <li>Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables;</li> <li>Able to utilize Microsoft Office - specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.</li> <li><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></li> <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
