Citi Futures, Clearing & Collateral is one of the world's largest participants in exchange-traded derivative markets and has also established itself as a market leader in the evolving Futures and OTC Clearing world.
Citi is seeking an Intermediate Analyst within the ICG Operations and Technology organization supporting our Collateral Operations. The candidate will report directly into NAM Collateral operations manager apart of (Futures, OTC Clearing & Collateral).
Role includes significant interface with the firm's business partners, carry brokers, and clients. Performing an advanced role within the Collateral environment along with taking the lead on multiple initiatives, new client implementations, daily work, and system enhancements along with UAT testing. Become the end to end processing subject matter expert as collateral manager for clients, across multiple applications, products & Security Services business lines.
Candidate will have to conduct business analysis, drive strategy, manage projects, deliver and administer metrics and reporting.
Analysing & reconciling collateral data from various files/websites/reports/applications for OTC/Cleared Derivatives & Futures across exchange relationships i.e. CME, LCH, ICE and OCC.
Issuing margin calls & processing calls received on behalf of clients and exchanges. Working with Margin team to ensure client collateral is passed through to exchange reducing funding impact to Citi as an FCM/CCP.
Collateral optimization will play a vital role within this position
The role will be an SME within day to day operations functions for Collateral. In addition, this role will offer exposure to senior management of the business, region, and other firm-wide partners. The team operates in a global functional model.
Drive collateral optimization initiatives along with process automation in order to deliver collateral off balance sheet
Contribute to change initiatives to improve operational processes, internal controls, increase client service standards, and add process scale by eliminating manual touch points and reducing funding costs to the firm.
Analyzing & reconciling collateral data from various files/websites/reports/applications for OTC/Cleared Derivatives & Futures across Exchange relationships
Issuing margin calls & processing calls received on behalf of clients and exchanges
Reconciling & managing disputes between parties on collateral activity (i.e. exposures, collateral, pricing, transactions, etc.)
Perform business analysis and manage strategic projects and initiatives: discretionary projects and initiatives. These initiatives include client-facing, front to back operations and new businesses onboarding. Work closely with business partners, line management, technology, and subject matter business analysts
BS/BA degree in relevant subject (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Management) or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience in Financial Services with 2+ years in Collateral preferred
Experience delivering line support and strategic change programmes in a fast paced, large global financial services firm, ideally in an operations, risk or technology organization
Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive leader
Possesses strong communications skills and has proven success interacting with senior management both in the business, corporate functions as well as the Operations, Business and Technology environments
Knowledge of Margin Processing, Futures, OTC & Derivatives Products a plus
Strong awareness of both external and internal best practice perspectives, maintaining a balanced and fresh viewpoint.
Self-starter with the ability effectively multi task.
Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously.
