General Description

The Cash Services Teller is responsible for filling coin and currency orders. Ensures money received and money supplied is verified and accurate. Is responsible for maintaining the security in the Cash Services area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1.Responsible for performing merchant deposits and change orders. Also required to verify incoming

correspondent bank deposits. This duty is performed about 35% of the time.
2.Ensures incoming and outgoing shipments of money are signed for and that the security cameras are

being monitored during armored car entrances. Processes and balances incoming loose coin

deposits as well as rolled coin. This duty is performed about 30% of the time.
3.Responsible for running the cash-sorting machine. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.
4.Maintains all security policies and procedures. Also responsible for cleaning and maintaining

designated areas to ensure and clean and safe work environment. This duty is performed about 15%

of the time.
5.Handles the daily balancing and reconciliation of the vault and assigned cash drawer. This duty is

performed about 10% of the time.
6.Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Reads, writes, and

communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in

person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all

applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA/AML).
7.Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 0 to 6 months of related experience and/or training.

  • Regular use of desktop/laptop computer, basic operating systems, and specialized software systems.

  • Basic experience with alphanumeric data entry, PowerPoint, Excel, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

Required Certifications

Must be able to obtain forklift certification upon hire.

or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds; must be able to utilize hand trucks to move up to
    1,000 pounds, and must be able to use a forklift that moves up to 4,000 pounds.

Provide daily deposit services such as handling deposits, withdrawals, holds, loan payments, cashier's checks, money orders, stop payments, telephone transfers, direct deposits, cash advances, and other related matters. Maintain cash drawer within prescribed limits. Purchase from and sell money to vault as needed. Accurately count, receive and disburse cash and accurately handle mutilated and bait currency. Verify and balance assigned cash drawer daily. Maintain cash over and short record. Assist in identifying cash offages. Maintain cash drawer variances within Central Bank of the Ozarks guidelines. Prepare necessary forms for proper completion of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirement. Includes obtaining appropriate documentation from customers and non-customers. Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues relating to teller and customer service areas (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, E, DD, P, etc.) evidenced by appropriate application of these regulations in day-to-day operations.
