Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

In a fast paced, high-volume environment, performs all aspects of customer payment application, credit card processing, resolution of unapplied cash, and refunds to customers for overpayments/credit balances and write-offs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.

• Performs Accounts Receivable tasks related to the operation of the Cash Department.

• Applies lock box and wire remittances to ensure accuracy of daily processing of client payments.

• Researches unapplied cash and client pay histories in related accounting systems.

• Prepares Automated Clearing House (ACH) files for upload and application and maintains and updates customer ACH information.

• Reconciles and maintains banking deposit logs and imports logs to the company deposit reconciliation system for respective client.

• Analyzes and reports deposit log accounts.

• Maintains back-up documentation and/or approvals to maintain policies and processes.

• Performs other duties as they might be assigned.

• Regular and predictable, full-time, on-site attendance during scheduled hours.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• 3 year experience in cash applications, including some experience in Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing (SAP) environment preferred

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
