Cash Application Specialist

Our growing eye care organization has an immediate need for a Cash Application Specialist who will work in cash applications/payment posting and reimbursements in the Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Track daily deposits for bank account, reconcile payments posted to bank deposits, and monitor/resolve unapplied cash

• Copy and scan documents

• Interpret insurance remits/EOBs and post insurance payments, denials, and adjustments into the practice management system

• Post patient cash, credit card, and check payments into the practice management system

• Pull and distribute EOBs

• Work/resolve credit balances and issue patient refunds as needed

Requirements: Education, Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1 + years' experience in cash application/insurance reimbursement

• Working knowledge of practice management software

• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel)

• Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

• Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

• Attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
