Since 1952, Light of Life Rescue Mission has been a safe refuge for homeless and hurting people in the Pittsburgh area. The organization is currently seeking a full-time Parent & Child Case Manager to work in its Women & Children's Program.
This position will be integral in strengthening family units by assisting family members to invest in each other's lives. The Parent & Child Case Manager will provide for the care of the children in the program with love, understanding, and compassion.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Implements objectives of children and parent's programming to strengthen and improve the family unit and quality of life.
Implement family-based curriculum, including family events and courses, summer programming.
Assists mothers alongside care team in developing Family Care Plans and regularly follows up to support completion of plans and quarterly goals to meet family needs.
Provides case management for family and child related needs including CYF follow-ups, attending court hearings, referrals, and monthly home visits etc.
Provides overall support and care to children and families as needed.
Provide support to volunteers in day-to-day care of children in the nursery year-round and school aged children during the summer.
Supports program clients daily, including their care plans.
Provides input into Child & Family Program decisions.

Skills and Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in field of child development or child psychology preferred
1 to 3 years prior experience working with children
Knowledge from formal and experiential training in drug and alcohol recovery and mental
illness preferred
Valid PA driver's license with clean driving record
Proficient with computers; experience with Office 365 and cloud environments a plus
