The Client and Community Restoration division within the Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) is seeking to fill a grant funded through DPS-OJP Community Crime Intervention and Prevention Program Grant Case Management Assistants (CMA) to support the Community Productive Day) program.

Location and hours:

This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Hennepin County Client and Community Restoration, 3000 North 2nd Street, Minneapolis, MN 55411. And remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.

  • 4:30 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

About the position type:

This is a full-time, limited duration(temporary), grant-funded, benefit earning position expected to last until December 31, 2025.

In this position, you will:

  • Work to design and implement employment readiness activities for the Community Productive Day Program.

  • Provide individual job coaching and support, including resume writing, interview preparation and job searching planning.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners.

  • Follow-up and support the Productive Day Probation Officer in the areas of barrier reduction and employment readiness.

Need to have:

  • One of the following:

  • Two or more years of responsible, paid social service experience providing direct client service.

  • A two-year human services certificate.

  • Two or more years of college coursework in the behavioral sciences field.

Nice to have:

  • Experience carrying an assigned caseload of pre adjudicated and post adjudicated juveniles or adults.

  • Knowledge of:

  • Community resources.

  • Client databases, web-based monitoring software, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Ability to:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, co-workers, and the public.

  • Assess each situation using good judgment.

  • Follow instructions verbally and in writing.

  • Recognize and respect cultural differences and provide culturally appropriate services.

Proficient keyboarding/typing skills to enter and process information expediently and accurately.
