Job Overview

The Solution Architect works closely with our internal and external partners to understand business requirements so that a scalable, solution design can be derived that meets customer requirements.

The Solution Architect will lead the Integration of external eMobilityService Providers (eMSPs) solution on a regional or market level through integration with HQ, utilizing existing resources and participating in appropriate governance activities to ensure quality and adherence to MBUSA standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Lead the adaptation of eMobility Service Providers (eMSP) Solution through design necessary system components, interfaces and infrastructure components for the integration of data from various systems for CASE IT.

Formulate and validate the fulfillment of IT specific requirements towards internal and external partners.

Development and support for new (software based) business models in the area charging systems/charging infrastructure for e-vehicles. Integration of heterogeneous IT architectures and complex IT infrastructures and modern technologies (API, SOA, Web Services, Portals, CMS, Messaging & EAI, integration technology).

Focus on building up the necessary IT infrastructure for the seamless charging customer journey for drivers of electric vehicles.

  • Lead the integration of the technical design of eMSP.

Provides hands-on support of the solution when required, to assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, or issue remediation.

Works closely with the Project Lead/Business Consultant to translate functional requirements into an effective technical design.

  • Provide seamless customer experience for EQ charging services, i.e., start/stop/status, charging point information.

Support of eMSP roll-out relevant functions.

Ensure IT process around Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

Ensure during integration that development processes are followed to expose APIs.

Leads and participates in appropriate governance activities to ensure custom code quality and adherence to MBUSA.

  • Ensures the development team is providing appropriate high quality documentation.

Participates in regularly scheduled and appropriate status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholder's needs and requirements continuously in view.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (accredited school) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in

  • Business Management

  • Information Technology

  • Management Information System (MIS)

  • Data Integration

Must have 5 years (total) of experience in the following:

Knowledge of backend technologies, preferably Java and common frameworks for example Spring Boot or Node.js

Knowledge of frontend technologies, especially JavaScript and common frameworks for example Angular or React.js

DevOps Mindset, as well as experience in working with continuous integration tools, build pipelines and test automation

Experience in cloud technologies like Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS or Azure

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch)

Knowledge of agile working methods such as Scrum or Kanban

Knowledge of building micro-services and implementation of OpenAPI

VIEW JOBS 8/14/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-11-12T00:00 The Solutions Architect will be the key point of contact and liaison for assigned commercial lines of business in customer technical engagements to provide expert consultancy services. In this capacity, the candidate will partner closely with the commercial business to understand the Travelport business goals, objectives, and technical strategy and then be able to clearly articulate to external customers. This individual will be able to perform discovery engagements with the customer to understand their business and technical environment and be able to synthesize the Travelport and customer estates into a business and technical roadmap that will be of benefit to both. The individual will be responsible for driving the strategic elements required for creating a Travelport compliant solution which includes standards, policies, best practices, appropriate technology selections and overall program governance. Because both of these use cases are so demanding, the candidate must have deep experience in architecture, engineering, design and development and multiple business models as well as a good understanding of the Travelport governance structure known as the Travelport Enterprise Process (TEP). Communication and negotiation skills are also key in working with various customers and internal teams to balance meeting commercial business goals and objectives with the architecture and business goal of the customer. Main Accountabilities * Responsible for engaging with and understanding external customer business and technical domains, and how Travelport solutions can connect to, enhance, or enable existing and new customer solutions * Responsible for implementing and managing the engagement strategy with external customers and the subsequent alignment with product, development and delivery teams * Manage the relationship with the technical team of the assigned business unit or customer, helping them develop and manage a technical strategy aligned with the enterprise technical roadmap * Ensure that assigned engagements follow all aspects of the TEP from initiation of consultancy to closure (when appropriate) * Work with the product, development, and Business Architecture members to define the approach and high-level designs for assigned engagements * Ensure project designs are aligned with the architectural and business strategies with a clear relation to the end-state design / customer requirements / and business priorities * Validate engagement deliverables and detailed solution designs with the other architects * Report and communicate on project assignments / engagements and current / forecasted workloads.
