Carrier Sales Manager is responsible for targeting and solution selling telecom providers and strategic businesses that require high bandwidth, custom or complex infrastructure and connectivity solutions. This role requires business development, proactive follow-up, telecommunications experience and complex management skills to support long term business opportunities and strategic relationships. Responsibilities include: Business development in new and existing markets in the northeast Identifying appropriate partnerships that fit within the Carrier model Solution selling to large carrier clients Complex project and opportunity management Contract negotiations Evaluating competitive marketplace Internal communications to ensure boundary partners are engaged on bids and solutions Manage, up-sell, and renew agreements of assigned accounts Track, manage, and report ongoing activity relative to plan Maintain and report targeted objectives Performs other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications Demonstrated success in telecommunications in an advanced carrier environment Strong network with customers in northeastern data centers and with telecom providers Ability to communicate with C level executives within an organization

  • Experience in data communications sales or service, consultative sales techniques, and account planning including account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long range client management strategies

  • Technical skills related to network and transmission design and local access services is a plus

  • Product knowledge of Dark Fiber, E-Access, E-NNI, IP, Wavelength, Spectrum and next-gen services as well as associated end-user and carrier applications

  • Operational understanding of telecommunications ordering, provisioning, and billing processes Working knowledge of general marketing principle tools and processes

  • Skills necessary for decision making and maintaining customer retention

  • Strong communication and business writing skills

  • Proven track record in business development and carrier sales

Preferred Qualifications

: 4 year College degree

  • Minimum 10 years' experience with data services in current telecommunications environment

  • Involvement in trade and commercial organizations to expand the market awareness of the company

Job Description: The RingCentral Carrier Sales Solutions Engineer is a technical pre-sales specialist, responsible for partnering with AT&T's technical overlay organization, direct sellers, and their Channel Partners in the East. A Carrier Sales Engineer should have in-depth knowledge on the entire RingCentral Ecosystem. including other UCaaS solutions, Legacy voice, data networking, and security. Primary responsibilities include general partner enablement and training, conducting remote and onsite product demonstrations, co-selling, prospect network readiness, and solution validation via Proof of Concepts (POC) for sales opportunities. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: business development, monitoring and supporting SE collaborative teams, manage customer feature requests and document for product team, lab testing, continued education on the platform and underlying technologies, and support AT&T SE related internal and customer facing events. Responsibilities: * Align with key Channel and Carrier Partners to better understand opportunities and support requirements * Provide in-region onsite support for Partners and Customers * Partner with Product team stakeholders to develop and prioritize Product roadmap * Cultivate relationships with internal and external aligned Partners and resources * Partner with the team to evaluate new technical solutions to meet or exceed prospect and customer requirements * Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services * Support and participate, with other Sales Engineers, in performing advanced technical presentations for customers, and prospects, both remotely and in-person. * Develop and maintain expert understanding of all RingCentral applications and products * Represent RingCentral at conferences, industry, and sales events * Actively participate as a SME for RingCentral products and technologies Qualifications & Skills: * 7+ years of experience serving in the capacity of a Technical Sales Engineer in a SaaS (Software as a Service) environment, or equivalent, relevant experience * 3+ years of management experience in similar industries * Proven ability to provide technical leadership to the account team and engineers * Ability to teach other members of the team and effectively manage a team of highly skilled Sales Engineers * Must be able to coordinate across various groups and functional teams * Ability to apply solutions, technology and products to a business opportunity. * Willingness to travel regularly throughout assigned region * Knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization: Voice, Video, Mobile Communications * Knowledge of VoIP and data networking protocols * Understanding of customer communications requirements and business drivers for enterprise business markets. * Competitive knowledge including solution, technology and product offerings. * Demonstrates the ability to excel at understanding and communicating complex technical solutions and issues. * Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills. * Some understanding of software development technologies is desirable. * Some experience with project management and resource tracking desired. * Demonstrated ability to implement, drive and track projects.
