As the Carrier Procurement Supervisor, you will work cross-functionally with various departments, including sales, carrier procurement and operations, carrier compliance, finance and accounts payable. You'll manage a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives and ensure that everyone is consistently delivering positive results. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Manage the daily operations of the team

  • Develop and expand carrier relationships with both existing and new carriers

  • Train, mentor and develop a team of Carrier Procurement Representatives

  • Book freight and maintain KPI metrics while ensuring your direct reports do the same

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of transportation-related experience

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2 or more years of non-asset-based brokerage experience

  • Solid experience in management, with the ability to prioritize work and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees; conflict resolution skills

Highlights The Senior Carrier Account Executive will sell to Spectrum Enterprise's wholesale carrier segment across the footprint, defined as Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILEC), Multiple System Operators (MSO), Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLEC) and other wholesale clients. This senior position will focus on maintaining existing carrier wholesale accounts and developing relationships with new carrier wholesale clients. What you will do * Manage and grow a book of business * Develop and execute cross functional account development plans * Consistently achieve or exceed revenue sales goals * Design strategic account plans to drive opportunities and growth * Develop client-centric solutions for complex services * Identify new carrier accounts and increase penetration within existing accounts * Manage all phases of account management to ensure effective client solutions * Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts * Present sales and channel performance report to senior leaders * Foster long-term positive and professional relationships with carriers and integrators * Execute applicable documents, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) and Master Service Agreements (MSA) * Coordinate with the network sales engineer to effectively support the sales process * Maintain current knowledge of products, services and market dynamics * Close client sales by explaining benefits and providing effective solutions * Ensure account progress is accurately entered into Salesforce.com database * Perform additional duties related to this position as assigned, including attending training and meetings Required keys for success * Three or more years of experience in carrier/wholesale sales or major accounts * Proven experience providing world-class business solutions to large clients * Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and strategic negotiation skills * Familiarity with Solution or Value software applications, such as Salesforce * Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality * Strong knowledge of broadband technology and telecommunication practices * Knowledge of network security and redundancy * Excellent written and oral English communication skills How you will stand out from the crowd * Five or more years of experience in carrier or wholesale sales * Positive attitude with strong presentation skills * Advanced knowledge of Information System (IT) protocols like SONET, ATM, Ethernet, Frame, MPLS, TCP/IP * Outstanding organizational skills with a talent for prioritizing and multi-tasking Your education * High School Diploma or equivalent (required) * Bachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred) What you can expect * Office environment * Travel in a personal vehicle Spectrum Charlotte NC
